Firm, Led by Greg Poe, Wins Complete Acquittal for Lead Defendant in Jury Trial
On April 25, 2016, a jury in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia acquitted the firm’s client, Edwin S. Livingston III, on every count of an eight-count superseding indictment after a two-week trial in United States v. Livingston, et al., No. 1:15-cr-00201-LO (E.D. Va.). The superseding indictment charged Mr. Livingston and three co-defendants with bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and wire fraud. The jury verdict is here.
Greg Poe represented Mr. Livingston as lead counsel. Mr. Livingston was the lead defendant in the case.
Mr. Livingston was the former Chief Financial Officer of the Army National Guard Bureau. After leaving government employment, he worked with others to build a company known as Military Personnel Services Corporation (MSPC). MPSC performed a range of services for government agencies. The company’s revenues once exceeded $100 million annually.
