Greg Poe Wins Reversal in Federal Court of Appeals of Sanctions Order Against Lawyer
On November 5, 2013, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, in United States v. Llanez-Garcia, No. 12-3585, reversed a sanctions order against the firm’s client, a criminal defense lawyer, and dismissed the sanctions proceeding. Greg Poe briefed and argued the case. As the court of appeals concluded: "This opinion closes the book on a regrettable chapter in [the firm client’s] career, clears her of all claims that her conduct in this matter was sanctionable, and removes any taint of public censure on her reputation."
